Concept Design

A Concept Design is where your property is first understood as a whole, not as separate garden beds, buildings, or paddocks, but as a connected landscape with structure, flow, and long-term potential.

It is a design service that translates your land and intentions into a clear direction: what belongs where, how it relates, and how the property can evolve over time as a cohesive system.

This is not a construction or engineering document. It does not include technical drawings, precise measurements, or compliance-ready specifications. Instead, it provides the design thinking and visual framework that future decisions are based on.

The concept is delivered as a landscape composition study, a hand-drawn, spatially-informed illustration that expresses the arrangement of spaces, planting structure, and material character as a single designed composition.

It is intentionally interpretive rather than fixed, showing relationships, structure, and possibility rather than detailed instruction.

What is included

  • A large-format A1 hand-drawn and digitised landscape illustration of your property or selected area

  • A bound, full-colour A4 design booklet including site analysis, design reasoning, planting guidance, and implementation notes

  • Approximately 4–5 hours on-site consultation, discussion, and landscape walk-through

Typical design elements may include:

  • Kitchen gardens and naturalistic planting

  • Orchards, windbreaks, and ecological structure systems

  • Fencing layouts, livestock movement, and functional zoning

  • Outbuildings, access, and circulation

  • Sheltered growing areas and microclimate design

This is not a farm plan or construction set. It is a concept-level design that organises the property through permaculture principles and landscape composition thinking, providing clarity before investment in detailed planning or implementation.

Fee

$9,500 AUD
(includes properties within 1 hour of Paterson, NSW; additional travel $75/hour in one-hour blocks)

Garden & Property Design Consultation

A Garden & Property Design Consultation is a focused on-site session designed to bring clarity, direction, and practical design thinking to your landscape. whether you are refining an established garden or beginning a new one.

It is a working conversation in the landscape. We walk the site together, explore how the space is functioning, and identify clear directions for design, planting, and long-term structure.

This is not a design package or document-based service. It is a diagnostic and directional session that helps you understand what the land is telling you, and what the next best steps are.

In your session we may:

  • Clarify the overall direction and purpose of your garden or property

  • Identify opportunities and constraints within the existing landscape

  • Discuss planting structure, spatial layout, and material choices

  • Troubleshoot specific issues such as soil, exposure, drainage, or plant performance

  • Outline practical next steps for development or staged improvement

Fee

$595 AUD (1–1.5 hour on-site consultation)
Within 1 hour of Paterson, NSW

Travel beyond this is charged at $75/hour (in one-hour blocks)

Extended consultation time (if required): $175/hour
